Last Film You Watched

I quite liked this, partly because I remember all the press coverage of these events. Margot Robbie does a great job playing a very gifted skater who was just too common for many judges in figure skating. The subjective scoring system and her, frankly, thick as too short planks friends and relatives all conspired against her.

Available on Amazon Prime.

Haven't seen it yet but I guess it won't be Trump's favourite film, yet more American sports stars taking a knee...

10 Rillington Place on tonight ; filmed at No.6 because somebody was still living at the actual house. Creepy, creepy film depicting the seediness of post-war London.

Richard Attenburgh gives an incredible performance as Christie, as does Judy Geeson as his wife.

It`s one of those films that stays with you for quite a long time after you`ve watched it.

Judy Geeson, extremely photogenic, is the wife of Timothy Evans (John Hurt), but as you say, the film is chilling indeed.

Going next week, really looking forward to it ;)
See it on the biggest screen you can mate. The film uses different screen ratios and shooting techniques as the film progresses, from intimate Terence Malik style close up portraits to a full on IMAX moon landing which is absolutely breathtaking and incredibly tense. Like Apollo 13, you know they're gonna make it but you're still on edge. It's like an indie/arthouse biopic with mahoosive rockets and stuff. I can see why it's not everyone's cuppa like, but I think it's some feat myself.

Just got back home from a horror film festival.

Terrified 6/10
The House That Jack Built 8/10
Halloween (1978) 10/10 (though I admit that a major reason this film gets a 10/10 is nostalgia. Some of the acting is almost unbearable, but the good parts (which is most of the film) is second to none)
Halloween (2018) 9/10
Mandy 7/10
Two Puddles (short) 6/10
Rosalina (short) 5/10
Puppet Master: The Littlest Reich (7/10) Super fun and enjoyable. The main characters girlfriend was super fine (she was a guest at the festival and introduced the film. Wonder how she felt when the entire theatre was staring at her tits on the big screen).
The Cleaning Lady 7/10
FrightFest: Beneath the Dark Heart of Cinema (doc) 6/10
Haunters: The Art of the Scare (doc) 7/10
A Father's Day (short) 5/10
Salt (short) 8/10 Really cool 2 minute piece
Satan's Slaves 7/10
One Cut of the Dead - had a technical error with the subtitles being out of sync by a full minute, so it being a Japanese film made it problematic. However I still managed to enjoy it. Actually think this might've been my favorite from the weekend if it weren't for the technical issues, but I don't feel it's right to rate it.
Summer of 84 9/10 Recommended for anyone that enjoyed Stranger Things

Was a couple more short films there, but I forgot what they were called.

any found-footage among that lot?

I finally got round to watching Silence of the Lambs after watching the Hannibal series and Red Dragon. I thought Anthony Hopkins was not as good as Mads Mikkelsen after watching Red Dragon but Hopkins is SO much better in Silence of the Lambs. Really good, now to finish the series off with the last 2 films.
