Last Film You Watched

I've been watching Hallmark Christmas movies lately, but this morning I watched A Fistful of Dollars.

The Sergio Leone movies are still masterpieces.

Everything about those films is classic, the soundtracks, locations and acting!!
Quite simply put, and incredible film. The other two aint bad either.
Once Upon a Time in the west is Leone's best. The man with no name trilogy were his warm up movies for that.

Better than Good Bad Ugly???? My personal fave is For a few dollars more (opening scene with Angel Eyes murdering the father and son one of the greatest ever)

I’d even say Once Upon a Time in America was a better film IMO

Saw Creed 2 (aka Rocky 8) last night and it was a fun film. Exactly what you expect from a Rocky/Creed film. Good bad guy too, I thought Ivan Drago and his son's story arc was more interesting then either Rocky's or Creed's.

This would be my ranking:

1. The Good, The Bad and the Ugly
2. Once Upon A Time In The West
3. A Fist Full Of Dollars
4. For A Few Dollars More

Just personal taste, my viewing enjoyment taken into consideration, however they are all fantastic. Did you know that the Charles Bronson's character (Harmonica) in Once Upon A Time.....was first offered to Clint Eastwood then James Coburn?

My son and I are talking about some film watching when he's home from college over the holiday - all four of these are already on the list - also, couple of Russian films - Solaris and Alexander Nevsky - Kurosawa's Rashomon and/or Seven Samurai and the first two Godfathers. We won't get through all of them because we need to go snowshoeing sometime, but it's a fun list.

Other suggestions?

Watched Sherlock Holmes in Washington yesterday (1940's). I've been working my way through some of the old Sherlock Holmes movies, starring the brilliant Basil Rathbone and Nigel Bruce. Have to admit I do enjoy an old movie now and then.
