Last Film You Watched

Set in the 1950s or so, its message that modern life drains us of the magic of even the best of childhoods is a relevant one. Eminently watchable for all the family and (ignoring the inevitable and predictable "happy" ending) an enjoyable film to boot...

Incredibles 2
Meh.

First movie was an absolute Masterpiece, probably the best Pixar movie overall, but this fails to live up to its predecessor, and probably represents everything wrong with movies today. Predictable feminism, role reversal, weak villain, trying to cram in too many subplots and just.. weak all over.
6/10.
My 4 year old said pretty much the same thing.

Watched 50/50 again. Really liked it the first time. Still really liked it this time.

Cancer is a difficult subject, and I think the movie handles it well. Some very funny moments, as well as some very difficult moments.

The acting is top notch as well as the writing. Anna Kendrick was made for her role.

Probably about an 8.5/10 for me.

P.S. The editing on the opening scene is hilarious if you know Seattle. His little morning jog was more like a marathon.

Rarely read books.
Just enjoyed the escapism of it all
Invariably the books are better than the films. However, having read the book first it can sometimes leave you a little disappointed with the film version as it rarely does the book justice. Had you watched the film in isolation you wouldn't have such high expectations, so maybe you have it right.

I will endeavour to read one
