Last Film You Watched

It wasn’t like shocking I just thought it would be scarier. I’m like insanely scared of clowns but went to see it to face them and it was more funny than scary.

How would you make them any scarier? They did a pretty good job. Loved the bit when he jumps out of the projector screen.

I just needed more fear with the character. The opening scene in the drain crapped me up and then in the room with all the clowns. The rest was just a bit too light.

Part 2 is up soon and I’ll be watching it. Scared of Clowns though, that must be have been tough. My cousins used to have these life sized dolls on top of the cupboard that used to scare the crap out of me.

Yeh I’m no good with clowns or masks or anything like that. It’s why the first Strangers film is the scariest thing I’ve ever seen. I’ll probably watch IT 2 but I’m disappointed as I thought it might be a prequel. I want some more origin story.

Stop overthinking the film and enjoy it for what it is, FFS.

If you applied that logic to every Sc Fi film, you`d never watch another one.

Please feel free to be miserable about everything else in life, but not Sc Fi films.

Thanks on behalf of all the Sc Fi fans on here.
Most films have holes. It’s not real. BTW, I’m agreeing with you.

Perhaps you could open a thread about 'fear of clowns' it could help people conquer their fears if you share some of your experiences...

Who’d have thought Martin Freeman could do an outstanding film, not me for one, but he’s outstanding in this :

Cargo.

It’s a Netflix collaboration with the always excellent Film Australia, so watches like a proper film, rather than a made for TV film.

Entirely set in the Outback. Australia has been hit with a pandemic that’s turned most of the population into zombies. Freeman, his wife and daughter head into the Outback seeking sanctuary and safety.

Stunning cinematography, Freeman is terrific in the lead, as is the little Aboriginal girl that plays support to him. ( she’s destined to be a star )

It’s a zombie film, that’s not really a zombie film, as it’s more about Freeman and his love for his daughter ( similar to - the Road )

Powerful stuff, that will
stay with you for a long time after.

Won a shed load of awards in Australia.

Without doubt one of the best films I’ve seen this year.

@jaycee you’ll love this.

Good solid film mate, watched it last night

Just went the cinema in New Brighton to see Red Joan, spy thiller, i really liked it. Can see why it got mixed reviews as for some it might of come across as being a bit slow, and i wasnt to sure about the flash back thing with Judy Dench. To be honest i would rather it had just been set back in the day with the young Red Joan only, but I guess that was the story, her getting gripped by the police at the age of 87 haha.
If you like true stories are have an interest in the war beyond the fighting aspect, its interesting.
