Last Film You Watched

Had a go at watching John Wick 1 and 2. Thought if they made a 3 there must be something there. Sadly it's weak as can be. Not a horribly made film but there's little story or characters and what there is is ludicrous. Action scenes are poorly choreographed where every bad guy seems to run out, gun lowered, to be shot in the face. There's been much better action and stories in computer games.

I really enjoyed the first one :

Suspend belief, sit back and enjoy the stylised uber violence.

Completely the wrong place for that!! The action in any of the John Wicks is better than most American (at least) action films for ages. None of this quick cuts/dizzying hand held camera shots that are common nowadays.

I may be in the minority, but I really like the John Wick films.

Very simple premise, revenge, with lots and lots of glossy violence.

Heads up, Channel 4 later at 9pm, Free Solo, great film this

His girlfriend was fighting a losing battle with him, trying to change him.

She just wouldn`t leave the poor lad alone, when all he wanted to do was live in his van, eat food straight out of the pan and complete suicidal climbs.

I was half hoping that a rock would come loose when she was " pretending " to enjoy climbing with him and smash her on the head.

Haha she is going to get him killed!!

You`re not wrong.

The lad was mentally and physically trying to prepare himself for a 2500 metre near vertical climb, that had never been done before without ropes and she`s dragging him around the shops to look at fridges.

How could she not fail to notice his complete and utter disinterest when she was showing him round that house, when he`d been happy as Larry in his van for 9 yrs.

I`m really surprised his mates who were filming didn`t get rid of her early doors, she was that much of a distraction, pestering him all the time with absolute nonsense.

She just didn`t get the gravity of what he was about to do and seemed more arsed about buying a fridge !!!!

The poor lad will probably weigh up his options one day and decide that jumping off a ledge is preferable to spending the rest of his life with her.
