Seems to have polarised opinion everywhere - but I actually really enjoyed it. Normally cannot stand Jude Law but he's excellent in it - Portman is a little hammy in parts but just about gets away with it

Got it on 4K import (disc is region free). They did a great job with the visuals/audio, always loved that film.

Watched The Statment last night, Michael Caine film about the hunt for a nazi war criminal, which was his role, he was in hiding. Was ok film.
Based on a true story but not not totally accurate. Its about Paul Touvier, the History channel has a series called "Nazi Hunters" which tells the real story better

I just watched the Big Sick

NEA, it is a rom com sort of thing but genuinely one of the best films I have ever seen.

Was surprised at how good this was. It’s story is well worn territory, but it moves a long at a great pace and is a great 90 minute genre movie. It’s a shame Gibson has been “cancelled”. I know it’s his own fault, but I do think he has a lot to offer. Would love to see him as an aged Mad Max one last time. Has way more heart and screen presence than Tom hardy did.

Amazing isn't it, I cant hack heights, went to see this at the cinema and nipped out at one point to go the toilet!!!

Good stuff? He directed Hacksaw Ridge the same year he appeared in blood father and since then I’d say the only good thing he’s done is dragged across concrete- perfect casting in that. I really don’t count stuff like Daddy’s Home 2 as a sign of a career renaissance. His filmography isn’t exactly stacked in the last few years. Although perhaps Hollywood will lap up his upcoming sequel to Passion of the Christ and in true Christian spirit all will be forgiven.

Watch it again.

You’ll have missed loads first time around.

Imo it’s just as good as the first, especially with all the cameos.
