Last Film You Watched

I watched a film called Sleuth last night. It's a 70's thing with Caine and Olivier in it. I had wanted to see it for a while it's certainly a very clever film and it's mostly just the two of them in it, quite long though 2 1/2 hrs but id watch it again.

Last night watched By the Grace of God for a second time. It's a terrific French film about the Catholic Church abuse scandal, centring on three very different adult men who take action when they realise the priest that abused them many years ago is still working - and with kids. "The French Spotlight" might be the lazy way to label this one, but it's a great film which should reach as wide an audience as possible. It's still in some cinemas and is also available on Curzon's on-demand service. One of the very best films of 2019, IMHO.
This shocking documentary exposes the sexual abuse within the Polish church - grim watching.

Went to see Parasite (Gisaengchung) by Joon-ho Bong in my local cinema, became my top 2 films made this year, together with Joker (very different films, no doubt). I guess I will wait it to arrive torrent sites and can't wait to see it again.

Recommended strongly, a lot of fun in between lines but very critical and presents audience the ugly truth on class differences and money psychology. I bet Ken Loach would love to have a beer with Joon-ho Bong.

Rewatched The Running Man, last night, to say it's aged, would be saying something, but did like Arnie at his peak.
Never knew until last night that it was directed by Paul Michael Glaser , from the series, Starsky and Hutch. Bait of useless information for you there. :)
