Last Film You Watched

No, we’re not, I can see my argument is going way over your head here. We both loved the Joker let’s just leave it at that.
What?, I said I'd like to see a sequel, and you said there wouldn't be one.

Yet the main man, the star of the show, one of the greatest in demand actors currently applying his trade, is openly telling the director there needs to be a sequel, but you know better apparently.

You've spent an hour typing wham in this thread. well done.

You basically haven’t taken in anything I’ve been saying but thanks for trying to play along.

Gave Ex Machina a second viewing.

I didn’t pick up on the extent of the two humans’ borderline personalities first time round. Gleesons’ character even tells us how his parents were killed when he was young, and that he lives alone in a big city - red flags everywhere there.

Fantastic watching them trying to out-manipulate each other, only to see them out-manipulated by the full blown psychopathic AI.

Simplistic and brutal finale was superbly haunting.

Fantastic dance scene in there too.

Fantastic movie.

Didn't think the joker was that good TBH. Looked good and started well then from about halfway just petered out for me.

The trailer was the best part about it.

I thought I'd either love it or hate it but in the end thought it was just ok and sometimes a bit boring. I hoped it would be a bit more subtly dark but was very in your face.

It's not has dark when the film shouts 'THIS IS DARK'

Yeah i was expecting a bit more depth. I dunno I think when he started losing it it just became a bit repetitive for me. Maybe a sequel would make it seem more complete.

Watched Surviving Auschwitz last night, good film.
The trailer and box cover are a bit misleading as its only at Auschwitz for the first few minutes and the end, but the rest of the film is about boxing. Victor Perez, was a Jewish world champion boxer who ended up in the camp and was made to box SS members.
Good true story, quite moving, well worth knowing about.

Saw Touching the Void again a couple nights back. I actually didn't mean to as I just wanted to see the bit leading up to the accident but the docufilm is just so engrossing I had to watch it until the end. Not strange you might think, but it was gone half past three in the morning by the time it finished! I never felt tired once and that is about as much praise as you could give a piece of entertainment.
