Last Film You Watched

Le Mans 66 (Ford vs Ferrari)

Thought it was really good. Very good performances from Damon and Bale. They've taken a few liberties to make it a bit more Hollywood but so do most films of this style. The stand out thing is probably the way they show the racing, it's so well done. Really intense and they really convey the speed. Well worth a watch.

Thanksgiving a week today in the States, people. I demand Trains, Planes and Automobiles be watched in the next couple of weeks.

If you haven't seen it, it's John Candy and Steve Martin at their peaks and one of the best comedies of the 80s.

It's a movie I watch every year over the Christmas... just one of those perfect movies...

The Irishman.... Pesci is class, totally different character to goodfellas...so believeable here as a mobster..... He's the man!! ....this is probably the last time we'll see him on screen, and it's a perfect performance/farewell for his legacy...

Movie is too long though, could have easily trimmed 30-40 mins off it... Feels like a history lesson at times...

The aging of the actors is well done, but anytime they're doing anything physical, it's sadly noticeable how old DeNiro now is...some scenes look very poor as a result...

Its called the Irishman, but easily could have been called Hoffa....

Good movie... Sadly not a great movie

Michael Inside. ( Netflix but independently made )

Worthy of all the awards and hype, but unrelentingly bleak with no redemption.

A young lad In Dublin is jailed for the first time after getting caught holding drugs for a local gangster.

The film follows him as he desperately try’s not to get sucked into the criminality and violence in jail and go straight when he gets out.

Watches like a Shane Meadows film and the young lad who plays Michael Dafhyd Flynn is very good.

The Crow 1994

I remember absolutely loving it when it came out and for whatever reason haven’t seen it since this week. So sad what happened to Brandon Lee, he was good in this film.

Hopefully they do a proper 4K release soon, a definite purchase for me.
Yeah same, only recently watched it after originally watching a moody VHS version years ago, still ahead of its time today.

stunning film.

I thought it was just ok,the lad was decent enough, think " We need to talk about Kevin" was better
