Last Film You Watched

Ford v Ferrari

Decent enough, though I’m not sure film wanted me to cheer for the italians. That’s what I did, as Enzo just seemed like a more likeable guy than all the ford fellas (except Damon and Bale obvs). I do enjoy disliking the suits tho. Racing parts were fine, even if I’ve got zero interest in cars. The actual Le Mans (?) part was good. 6/10

Watched Miracle on 34th St (the 1990s one) last night, which I'd previously avoided never seen. For some reason, this guy really reminded me of someone very high up in our club:

snap! only reason i had to watch it is because my better-looking half insisted. also thought of Blue Bill when he appeared lol the film itself had some sweet moments but that girl wishing for a mansion and then getting it just felt a bit off. not very modest and that.

some recent watches:

Akira - 9/10 - still the best manga film, what a soundtrack!

Dumbo (original) - 8/10 - they don't make 'em like this anymore etc

North by Northwest - 5/10 - Hitchcock films haven't dated well...

Million Dollar Baby - 2/10 - insulting to boxing fans, tiresome Morgan Freeman voiceover...avoid.

Cuckoo's Nest - 9/10 - one of the best films ever.

Dr Strangelove - 7/10 - maybe overrated but still entertaining.

The Gate - 7/10 - underrated family-friendly (relatively!) 80's horror. Some scenes are brutal.

Annihilation - 3/10 - tedious art installation.

Truman Show - 8/10 - not recommended for paranoid schizophrenics.

Borderlands - 7/10 - messy but effective found-footage horror.

Hudsucker Proxy - 8/10 - charming eccentric fun.

Silent Hill - 7/10 - faithful to the game's atmosphere, bit hokey but decent.
