An entertaining enough film that captures what I imagine would be the mood of the times. No idea how historically accurate the detail is except that it reinforces the view that whist you don't have to be an idiot to be in charge, most of them are...

Did you ever watch My Summer Story the sequel to A Christmas Story?
I don't mind The Holiday... but my wife is the really big fan of it in this house. There's certainly no shame in it making way for A Christmas Story.

I'd actually never heard of A Summer Story until now, but will look it up - so thanks for that. I do have A Christmas Story 2 lying around somewhere, which I understand is a different film altogether, although I've never got round to watching it...

Summer Story is a proper hick film but I love it haha.

5. Deadwood: The Movie 8/10
6. Dr. Sleep 8/10
7. Alita: Battle Angel 8/10
8. Shazam! 8/10
9. The King 8/10
10. Come to Daddy 7/10
Honourable mention: Once Upon A Time in Hollywood, The Irishman, Spionen, De Dødes Tjern, Spiral, Crawl, Spider-Man: Far from home, Child's Play, Brightburn, Us, Stuber, (all 7/10)

Left out some documentaries and shorts. Highest rated one was Diego Maradona (8/10).

Worst films of the year:
1. Red Letter Day (3/10, and that's being generous)
2. El Camino: A Breaking Bad Movie (4/10)
3. Men In Black: International (4/10)
4. Rocketman (4/10)
5. Captain Marvel (5/10)
6. Girl on the Third Floor (5/10)

Oh, and I just rewatched Jurassic Park: Fallen Kingdom.

Some good films this year but these are my top 5, couldnt do a top 10 as for me there hasnt been a stand out top 10. After my stand out 5 i could pick any from a list longer then 5
