Re-watched the Hobbit A unexpected journey and the CGI is terrible, worse than I remember.I found the story to be sluggish and drawn out, Jackson padded out the narrative and created totally new story lines not present in the novel just so he could create a trilogy. The second in the trilogy is very enjoyable if I remember so i'll give that another watch but i'm not even going to bother re-watching the battle of the five armies cos it's garbage.

Just watched a film called We Dive At Dawn, British black and white made during WW2 about a submarine crew, good film with John Mills, not as good as Das Boot obvs.
Can confirm Jojo Rabbit is amazing.

Avengers End game.....missed it in the cinema...really really enjoyed it. Thor is hilarious.

No Way out (Costner and Hackman....seem to watch it every year around xmas/new years)... Very good....love watching 70's & 80's movies

I have never managed to get into Hitchcock as much as I thought I should but this is incredible. Can see how much Lynch, Cronenberg, Scott were influenced by this.

Another good submarine film just out on DVD in the UK is The Wolf's Call - it's about a sonar officer who needs to use his perfect hearing to track down a nuclear sub. Well worth a look.

Just watched the Irishman its was good, but at some point someone is going to have to put different actors into these types of films you cant keep rolling Bob and Joe and Al out all the time they are in their 70s.
