Last Film You Watched

Just watched the Irishman its was good, but at some point someone is going to have to put different actors into these types of films you cant keep rolling Bob and Joe and Al out all the time they are in their 70s.

Not seen it yet but doesn't the de-aging stuff technology on show in this film illustrates that there'll probably be no need for actors to still be alive in a few years.

Every review I've heard or read say's it's impressive in a way and the faces work but the overall effect is still hindered by the character still moving like an old man. May only a matter of time before they'rthing..e nailing it though.
I enjoyed the film but you have to look past the ageing thing, at one point de niro was kicking the crap out of someone and it looked like a 76year old doing it.

Going to try and get on it this weekend but I've a lot I want to watch and it's time I could watch two other films in! I'll have no issue looking past it....Ropey effects or similar doesn't bother me in the slightest if the story's good enough.

The Mule - Clint Eastwood

Thought Eastwood was great, Film was a little to slow at times for me

A decent watch but that’s it really.

Think the last act saved it from being mediocre. Great scenes involving Clint and his ex wife, as well as Bradley Cooper.

Copper was badly underused in the film given he's an A list actor

Its was just ok, nothing stand out and wouldn't rewatch

Ex-Machina. Fairly clever little film. Doesn’t drag on and asks some interesting questions. Often like films with themes of isolation and use of a single location. Looking forward to the lighthouse for this reason.
Watched this a couple of nights ago. Really enjoyed It. As you say, poses some interesting questions. Good dialogues. Builds and maintains the tension really well. Visually engrossing and not just for Alicia Vikander. Recommend it. Nice one Jim.

Something of an over sentimental tear-jerker but with several pretty good and/or funny moments. Marky Mark continues to do well for himself, this time with a movie addressing the trials and rewards of fostering...
