Trolljegeren

Boss, and it's got Phil Thompson in it.

Just watched "Senna" last night.

Incredible documentary/movie, if you haven't seen it you ought to. Amazing to watch onboard camera footage of him in the late 80's, the speed is absolutely incredible, without any techonology inside them. Monaco '85, Portugal, Suzuka. The battles with Prost are well documented, and there's a lot of behind the scenes stuff that shows how up against it Senna really was politically.
And of course his tragic death, very emotional, I'll never forget the weekend he died and it brought back some sad memories. Greatest driver of all time for me.

There seems to have been a spate of driving movies in the past 12 months, Senna, TT, Drive angry (!), and Drive.

Just watched this, and it was pretty good, the feel I got from the movie was that of someone that knows their computer games, the Grand Theft Auto series, Need for Speed, Driver (old PS X game), as well as influences from Bullitt and Dirty Harry, and a clear 10 second homage to Tarantino. Much much more gory than I expected, solidly acted but it is the directors vehicle.

Submarine.

A funny first half hour, then a bit slow but diverting.

Very affected tone. Will be familiar to Wes Craven fans, you'll either love it for being the same or hate it for ripping it off.

Que? Is that about Submarines???

Firstly, Senna was a docu, not a true 'movie'. Second, I have heard great things about Drive, except for the pink writing on that poster......

The Change Up. Yes the premise has been done a million times. But it was fuking hilarious! Plus I have a man crush on my man Jason Bateman, so I'm legally obligated to see and like everything he's in.

Bateman rocks... god I hope the Arrested Development film gets made!

city of god is class. if you dont mind subtitles, then i recommend Prophet. french film.
i have that lovefilm - it's top, got a few films at home - manchurian candidate(original with ol ble eyes), machete and leaving las vegas. anyone seen them?

Leaving las vegas is good, long time since I've seen it tho... pretty sombre iirc... also love foreign films, remember hearing about Prophet ages ago, need to check that out...

"The Fighter"

Not many hours ago, a solid film, and for me good for about 90%, "even Rocky had a montage" anyway, most telling part was the credits roll, and how Crack has aged a certain someone.

Is that the Christian Bale/Mark Wharlburg one? The action scene's in that were F-ing awful... quite good apart from that tho...

During my Christmas Tree Light nightmare yesterday i watched Uncle Buck and Hot Tub Time Machine.

Both ace.

Love that film... just don't show it to a group of 11-15 year old school kids... not suitable!! :O

You played Vice City right? You remember Miami Vice?

'Eastern Promises' If you like it gritty, nasty and a very cutting subject. Stellar performances even if the ending isn't quite right.
Always good to see Vincent Cassell getting work as well.
Just finished 'ZombieLand' (2009) amusing in parts, slapstick zombie film, Bill Murray is still king, and was reminiscent of KingPin. At least in parts.

Just done 'Man On Wire', and it was a very nice watch. They joy of youth comes through. The stills are for me the best part, someone or someones really knew how to wield a camera. All that said, I wonder if it would have found the acclaim pre 2001.
