Ok...I went to watch this last night....very low exceptions....It was bloody brilliant, Great story line, fantastic characters and hilarious in parts! Hugh Grant is great in this and stole the show for me! Cannot recommend this film enough 9/10

Utterly fantastic film go and watch it in the cinema. The comedy elements were great and the few serious nazi/jew scenes in it had people crying. Couldnt stop smiling at the ending and the song choice.

Of course, a lifetime of laziness and cash ins, turns up for one role and bathes in awards
I'm a self-confessed lover of all things Adam Sandler but to be fair to him I've always thought he's stepped up to more serious roles.
He has done, but a lifetime of laziness isnt excused either, there are genuine craftsman who are just as if not far more brilliant who wont ever get a hint of the praise sandler will get for being okay in something
I mean, awards are a film-by-film basis. Doesn't matter if it's Sandler in Uncut Gems or me: if it's acted well it wins awards regardless of track record.
Have you seen The Shape Of Water? He goes full on Michael Shannon in that.
Yeh I'm a massive fan of that movie despite it getting panned all over the Internet. My kinda moody, artsy fantasy film.
That's the internet for you. Always be wary of anyone who thinks the audience score on RottenTomatoes is a better indicator than the critics score.
I don't even trust the critics score really. I just watch what I fancy but out of all the scoring sites I find IMDB's to be the most aligned to my own reviews.

i find imdb seems to underate films and overrate tv shows, i use it alot and never watch anything under a 6
