Last Film You Watched

He's a sleasy chap and no mistake. The one quote i always remember because it made my Gf at the time winced, is the old feller shouting "Ass to Ass!". I howl every time i think of her face when she heard it. She looked like I'd betrayed her by making her watch something so harrowing.

To continue the trend, the bloke who shouts "ass to ass!" looks like Peter Reid!

Requiem For A Dream.

Absolutely love it, one of my favourite films and in a way something that we can all relate to in how we turn to (potentially) addictive things to escape from reality. Be it food, drink or drugs in some peoples' cases.

Amazing original score by Clint Mansell, great performances (who'd have thought Shorty from Scary Movie could be such a good actor?) and an unbelievably difficult last 15 minutes, easily one of the hardest things I've ever watched.

cant stand requiem for a dream because its soundtrack is the same music sky sports saturday plays. very distracting, kept expecting vidiprinter to appear

So here's a small review of the last movie I saw.

Jackass Presents Bad Grandpa

I loved Jackass. That might not shock a lot of you. What might shock you is that I got really bored of it. They tried to take things further each time and it just failed. Then Dirty Sanchez came along and just did the whole extreme stunt thing better and funnier.
Jackass died and MTV got worse and worse for it. Then Sanchez died and MTV became the mess it is today. I see they have new Beavis and Butthead. Anyone know if it's any good?

Anyway, it's been a long time since I've seen any Jackass. So when I heard about this I was very in the mood for it.
For those who don't know it's basically Johnny Knoxville dressed and made up as a grandad and the basic premise is he has to get his grandson to his dads on the other side of the country. ROAD TRIP!!

The twist is that Knoxville and the kid are the only 'actors' in the movie and all the shenanigans are witnessed by real members of the public. In main the stupid American public (no offence).

It's difficult to not give it away, but I've not laughed this much at a movie for years. Even Partridge didnt get me like this. Maybe I was just ready for this.
There are points in the movie where you just can't believe the reaction the real life people. It's truly shocking at some points and I have to recommend it to people. I just have to.

You've probably seen the preview for Bad Grandpa and for the first time ever it doesn't give away the best bits

This is only the tip of the iceberg.

Just go and watch it.

Now the downside. The whole point and great bits if this movie is the reactions from the public. I've seen them now and don't know if they will be as funny the next time. Not sure it has much rewatch value.

Oh and the kid. Best kid actor ever.

Score:

3.5 Championship Belts out of 5
