Last Film You Watched

I watched a bit of Fall of the Roman Empire on BBC iPlayer.
I only watched the first 40 mins and I was astonished as it looks like Gladiator has stolen the plot

Dolls (1987)

Fun little horror comedy with good stop motion effects and some fun kills. Really liked it. 8/10
I remember seeing the cover of this in my corner shop - used to bloody terrify me as a kid

Mississippi Burning, second viewing. It had been decades.

I think it has supplanted Shawshank at the top for me. The dialogue is so, so tight and the cast is ridiculously good. When R. Lee Ermey is turning in the weakest performance, you're doing it right.

Hackman got robbed by the Academy, and Hoffman was phenomenal that year. This may be the second-best performance I've seen anyone turn in, behind only Peter O'Toole in Lawrence of Arabia. That's because he says it all with just his eyes in that one.

Brilliant film and as you're suggesting often criminally underrated: I know a fair few people who've somehow never seen it.

Watching Greenland. I knew it would be rubbish because it had Gerard butler in it. Started off ok considering I hate disaster movies, but I couldn't help but feel this feeling of middle class happy families deserved to succeed more than the ordinary people that serve them. Load of sheet
