One of those films that deserves to be remade, but with more money.

Based on the capture of the South African serial killer, Gert van Rooye. Who abducted and murdered many young South African girls and the alleged involvement of South African government ministers in trafficking the girls for themselves and a wealthy Middle Eastern paedophile ring.

A tough watch at times, the film dramatises the police investigation into the kidnap and trafficking of the young girls.

It’s not bad, but strays into “ revenge territory “ so becomes a bit muddled, unable to decide whether it’s a film about the police hunt for the traffickers or a full on revenge film.

…there’s a spin off (actually not sure if it was made before Blazing Saddles), called Evil Roy Slade which is really good. Start the bloke who played Gomez in the Adams Family TV series.
That's one of the funniest films I have ever seen. I saw it either in 1974 or 75 but I have just googled it and it was made in 1972. The scene when they are playing poker was hilarious.

Fire : walk with me

.. Again. Buurilliant film, As if you didn't know is a prequel and sequel to Twin Peaks...
Also just about to watch my annual sitting of the first season on Twin Peaks, followed by the second and third. Not all tonight obvs, But Twin Peaks is still the single greatest show ever produced and I have yet to watch the third again so to be able to watch all three in chronological order will be a trip.

I'm on another watch through now too - Accompanied by the 'Wrapped in Plastic' book to help me understand!

Two hilarious scenes for me was when Roy was working selling shoes when the customer said the boots were too big. You'll remember how he found a solution to the issue. The second being when he was having a period of self reflection with only vultures listening to him.

Watched Free Guy at the weekend. Said I wasn’t going to after seeing the trailer but it’s timing of showing worked around the rest of the day so gave it a go. It was actually a lot better than I thought it would be. Loads of influences such as The Matrix, Trueman Show
