Dead Birds (2004).

so.... hmm.....its kind of alright this for a real mix of ingredients. Its a very low budget horror/western, but it looks fine technically in terms of cinematography, framing, grading. Physical effects are decent, CGI is a bit hit and miss.
Cast are a really odd lot, you've got top character actors like Michael Shannon, Mark Boone Junior and Isaiah Washington but the leads are the kid from ET and the kid from Almost Famous (who I'm not sure I've ever seen in anything else), period detail is good, sets are fine.
The story is - bunch of civil war era robbers grab a government gold stash and hide out in an arl spooky house where weird shizz proceeds. So not all that original, but then the ending is a bit of an eyebrow raiser.

So all in all, not brilliant, but kind of worth a look.

Cheers, like the look of that.

I do like a Western Horror ;)

* that reminds me, I`m about ready for my annual viewing of Bone Tomahawk lol

That was the first film I went too see twice at the cinema, it's a brilliant film but also a fascinating story people should know about.
Great film.
Realised from your post that the only film I have seen twice at the cinema was Heat with Pacino and De Niro.
My father and I went together. The film ends, he leans over, and says to me “We’re coming back next weekend to see this again.”

I seen this in the Odean on London Road! classic film

The gun battle after the heist must have been pretty spectacular in the cinema.
I read an article about this a while ago, apparently in military school in the USA young marines watch this scene as a text book move, its proper wild!!

I mentioned this in the art thread, just watched the new film Escher: Journey Into Infinity, a documentary about MC Esher, its really good, they explain the thought process behind a lot of his work and on several show the locations the inspired him. Well worth seeing

Watched American Sniper the other day. 15-year old sulked his mom into going with it, which I was fine with since it beat her alternative to shreds (I wasn't in the mood for Bradley Coops and Lady Gagalot).

Second time seeing it. Saw it in the cinema and now at home. Still a decent movie but watching it with 'muricans was a test of patience.
