Just watched Black Widow, though it was pretty poor for the MCU, certainly the worst Marvel film so far (I’m usually a fan)
Not surprised they put it out on PTV first as I think it would have bombed at the cinema.
It felt to me like they were torn between making it a series like WandaVision or Loki, or going full movie route.
Other than the cast everything felt a bit low budget and Ray Winstone’s Russian accent is dreadful. 5/10

Another decent one. A bit weird how the CGI seemed worse in this 2012 film, than it did in the early 2000 ones. 6/10

Watched this the other week randomly.

Really enjoyed it. So many nods to the wicker man but a decent film in its own right.

Halloween Kills

First time back in a theatre since covid started, and what better way to start than watch Michael Myers stab people? Probably one of the most brutal Halloween movies. Not the best film, but still good fun. 7/10

Thoroughly enjoyed The Velvet Underground - great doc on the band by Todd Haynes. If you're a fan, you'll lap it up.

Just finished this. Pretty well put together.

Not an easy doc to do, it's mad how elusive everything still is about them.

Invasion USA

Double Denim Chuck Norris defends the entire country against a terrorist invasion intent on using the American way to destroy the American way...or something.

It may be violent, distasteful, scatterbrained, machismo borderline xenophobic nonsense but it's that Canon Films brand of dated nonsense which I can't help but enjoy. Full of great practical effects and a lot more stunt performers than actors in the entire thing.

There was a really good doc about it on Netflix as well mate, might still be on there.
