Haha no, I still give the film it's full run time before I form an opinion. However I clocked this film was going to be trash after about 20 minutes. It's just too... silly for me; Marvel films are humorous but this was just dumb. To me if they'd done a serious Carnage movie; maybe even branched into more horror/thriller side of it would have been better. How can a film about a sadistic serial killer and insatiable symbiote be so tame and goofy? Not to mention the black woman's character (Shriek) couldn't have been any more stereotypically black if they tried.
I'm gonna.... if not slay a sacred cow, certainly give it a few nicks, and sorry to you film scholars on here who I deeply respect but...

It's not just me then. Welcome to the club.
They're quite boring aren't they? I mean, not all of it's boring, but the boring bits are really boring. And I find the framing, cinematography, sound design and direction, all the technical stuff, really flat and uninspiring.
And I know everyone picks on the third one, but on multiple levels its just not a good film.

Yep, tbh I'm not a fan of most 'gangster' film or TV shows (apart from Sopranos).
I think I've seen all the classics and they just do nothing for me. You really notice the length in them all and they're all pretty similar.

Public admission, maybe at the time it came out it was a groundbreaking reflection on politics and society in general in the US but I feel the same about Taxi Driver.

Not my favourite genre by any stretch but I love Goodfellas, Miller's Crossing, Casino, American Gangster, and a lot of non-English mob films.

True, there are some good non-american ones actually. I'm just thinking of the ones where they walk around in suits all day, kick a few chairs in a cafe, chew something and treat women the same way as Al-Qaeda
