Rewatched “In the Heat of the Night” in memoriam of Sydney Poitier
No flashy sets or stunts, just fine acting throughout.
I’d forgotten how good the diner guy was too, the way Anthony James moved his body was almost reptilian, send shudders down my spine! One of my favourite all time films, Rod Stieger stole the show for me though, Poitier brilliant as well.

Been watching some recommended Lovecraftian movies lately. This was surprisingly good, sort of a half indie road movie, half body horror. Guy escapes his deadbeat existence in America to hook up with an intriguing foxy scientist with a dark secret in small town Italy. Starts feelimg a bit wonky but finds its way. Only discovered afterwards its from the guys who made Endless.
On Prime with ads.
Such a great film, will give it a rewatch.Silver Linings Playbook.
Some top acting in this. Characters are absolutely bonkers.
