Last Film You Watched

Going to watch this tonight, heard good things and reviews seem good, will report back tomorrow!
Well...this film did not disappoint. Love pretty much most things Stephen Graham is in but this was much better than I expected!

It was such a convincing and immersive experience, haven't seen a film like it really, go and watch it if you can!

Eternals

WOW utter Benitez levels of a movie!

Just boring, scripted jargon, pìsspoor CGI and the most wooden acting I've seen in a film EVER.

Such a utter waste of time, money and effort.

Finally got round to watching Ghost Busters Afterlife. Very decent, solid 7/10. One of the better reboots I’ve seen of recent years. Don’t expect a cinematic masterpiece going into it and it’s good fun, lots of homages to the original

The Thin Red Line (1998)

I'd tried to get through it before but found it too sloooooow. Finally finished it last night. It looks great and has a fantastic cast.... And I really wanted to like it, but....

The voice over hurts it as well as the dreary slow-motion shots of the wives and gals back home in the US, and endless shots of empty fields and jungles with Woody Harrelson droning: "What is this animal called fear? do 'yall breed it in your hearts?".

The battle scenes are intense like but the whole thing feels like it was trying too hard to win awards rather than being a straight up War flick. Nick Nolte was good as the psycho Captain barking orders mind.

Vastly bloated and over rated for me.

American History X.

Seen it plenty of times, doesn't fail to deliver that gut punch.

Chasing Amy..
I love Kevin Smith's films and this is no different. However, I always feel near depressed after watching this one, really flat and sombre. Due to the tone and subject I guess.
Jason Lee is awesome.
