BBC four tonight 9pm'Casablanca' was on daytime BBC2 yesterday. Iconic piece of cinema legend. Always worth a watch, sultry cool and wit with a knowing grace that flows out of the screen. What the 'Movies' was invented for.
Downton Abbey 2. Sibby gets a Villa! Loved it. Wish they would just make the series still. Molesely describing a emotional movie scene an absolute highlight.
Injustice. Superman goes dictator, late night snoozer. Not as good as Justice League Dark whateveritwas.
Dr Strange 2. Shut up @Prevenger17 I enjoyed it. Captain Carter. Phwoar.
Everything Eveywhere. Michele Yeoh in the multiverse. Interesting movie, enjoyed it. Ke Huy Quan should have stayed acting, he’s superb.
The Northman. Watched the first 5 minutes and then Woke up at the end with no idea what was going on. Must try again!
elvis definitely worth a watch I was surprised how much I actually enjoyed it but it isn't in the same bracket as some of last week's filmsFriday: The Shawshank Redemption. Mesmerizing. As always.
Saturday: The 12th Man - absolutely my favorite war movie. Brilliant.
Sunday night - Alien. No words.
Monday night - The Untouchables. Fantastic.
Tuesday night - Scarface. No amount of gushing does it justice.
Last night - Top Gun: Maverick. Brilliant.
Off to see that Elvis film tonight - I fear it may not hold up to the others I've watched this last week but we will see.

Where can I find this?I also just watched "A Sniper's War", which is a documentary about an esteemed Serbian sniper who fights with pro-Russian forces in the Donetsk Oblast. It is really compelling, and the director did a great job of capturing the complexity of the character: every scene about him seems to alternate between stone-cold killer and kind human. Some of the footage is insane, and there is this subplot where the "God of Mauripol" (a Ukranian sniper) messages him over facebook and they set up duels to kill each other and message each other threats. The film was criticised as only presenting the "Russian side" of things but there is no rule that documentaries need to present both sides. I thought it was terrific.
Blows my mind that the majority think Aliens is better.Friday: The Shawshank Redemption. Mesmerizing. As always.

Me too. Aliens is utterly fantastic. A brilliant film on all levels......but Alien is way, WAY better, and MUCH more my kind of movie.Where can I find this?

I first watched Alien at home after everyone else had gone to bed. After it was over I didn't want to open the living room door to head upstairs. Slept (kinda) on the couch.
Incredible tension when it was unseen.
Really enjoyed Elvis.
One of the best films in my opinion along with The Maltese Falcon. Never get bored of watching them.BBC four tonight 9pm
Well worth a watch/rewatch.
Literally everything you put there I disagree with.
