Last Film You Watched

The Black Phone. Very enjoyable, and good to see Ethan Hawke taking on a role like that; I also really liked the late 70s setting. I much prefer to see Scott Derrickson doing stuff like this and Sinister, rather than Dr Strange. His long-forgotten Hellraiser instalment was quite decent, too.
Seen this last night.

Agree thought it was a great film, loved the setting and loved Hawkes performance.

I also like that the film was mainly a thriller, so it wasn't based around jump scares or trying to scare you, so when a jump scare happened mid way through the film it really got me.
Such an enjoyable film, my favourite so far this year.

I’m assuming you’re going to watch 4. Be prepared it is awful. I thought 1 and 2 were quite a bit better than 3. I think they came out at the perfect time for me to love them though. Scream is probably my favourite slasher

I quite like them as well. They're more feelgood/fun than scary to me, but that's fine. I do prefer some of the more sleazy slashers from the 70s/80s though! Gonna watch Scream 4 right now. Hope I don't fall asleep

Was looking forward to this , turned out to be a nothing film, cinematography is good , acting equally good , but a story that doesn't really say anything , it could be a barb at performance art, body modification, pollution , it's really difficult to tell 5/10

Scream 4 (was too tired to watch it yesterday after all)

I started thinking my eyesight had just made a turn for the worse over night, but then I realized it was the movie. Scream 4 might actually be the blurriest film I've ever seen, every second of it is actually painful to watch. If they cleaned it up I don't even think it would be that bad of a movie, because there's some nice kills and the story isn't all bad. The blur is also a massive waste of Hayden Panettiere, because damn she's fine. The entire film being a visual struggle (the Quantum of Solace of the Scream franchise, just with blur instead of hyperactive editing) is unforgivable.

Oh, and the old lady (Jill's mom) was just mindblowingly bad at acting
2/10
