Yeah, Predators was alright actually although I've only seen it the once when it came out, might take another run at it. But The Predator and the AVP films had really left it on life support.
I didn't mind the first half of the movie, but there is a clear shift in the look and tone of the second half from all the reshooots.
Predators is decent. Prior to Prey, was in with a shout at being #2 in the franchise

The little things. A former detective and a rookie team up to hunt a serial killer. You can't go wrong with Denzel.
Prey.
Just to add to the praise, thought it was ace. Didn’t even know there was a new predator movie until this week, so completely out the blue for me, and really enjoyed it.
I also liked Predators, thought it was a bit under appreciated, but Prey goes straight into the slot of next best after the original.
Great redesign on the predator too, looks and acts properly frightening.
Can now forget about the absolute mess that The Predator was, amazing what a mess they made of that. A laughably terrible movie that one.

Where'd you stand on predator 2? I also liked predators it had a new angle to bring. the predator was frankly appalling and ought to be erased for the good of humanity. the alien crossovers also need to be binned. so poor theyre tragic. such a waste.
I don’t mind Predator 2, tried to do something a bit different, but probably was a bit forgettable for me. I rewatched Predators not so long ago, and was surprised how well it stood up.
The Predator was proper terrible, unbelievable how they got it so wrong. Even that article above talking about the studio changes, and reshoots, the bits they took out sound awful - ‘2 friendly predators in Area 51 who fight alongside the goodies?’. What were they thinking?
‘Prey’ though, Ace. Good title, too.

Alright pc game from 20ish years ago to. I liked predator 2, had quite the sense of humour, few good bits in that.

I'm a sucker for movies/series about hunting down serial killers (Zodiac, Seven, Mindhunter etc), so if anyone's got any decent recommendations, I'm all ears.

It does have Danny Glover, and I know for a fact that after battling the Predator, he says: ‘I’m too old for this sh*t!’
That already makes it a classic!
