Last Film You Watched

I don't think there is one, the director was on board for a bit but got tied up by the studio again and left em to it.
I find it a bit camp tbh, the sets are nice & nods to quake and some other stuff, can also see clearly some of what it influenced. (I dont reckon it holds a candle to alien but little does and thats probably my bias)
We need more outer space horror though, and not schlock reheated and rinsed for its last dregs. (for instance I dont want to see a bladerunner prequel 'the tales of Roy Batty' for instance - film or series)

[indelible marks left by music/film/tv/theatre etc tends to be tied to the whens and hows of your consuming them so to speak, first gig, first album that sort of stuff]

I completely agree, but as Blade Runner 2049, Dune and the new Predator film - Prey, proved, with the right director writers and a studio with bottle, you can still make proper quality follow ons.

Magical mix right there, get it right and tom hiddleston turns up in it to ruin anyhow....(and theres plenty more delivering the kind of rubbish he signs up to)

Every now and then a film comes along that just reminds you of all that's possible with the medium. Usually the left fielders are non-US so it was great to see something so way out come from at least near Hollywood.
Bold, disorientating, funny, poignant and two hours of sheer cinematic joy.

Absolutely brilliant.

On Prime.
just finished this! WOW! Rollercoaster of emotions and a great recommendation. Perfect!

Welsh-language horror film The Feast. Enjoyed it, some characters you can’t take to so fair play to the cast , just the right amount of gore.

You can actually rent out the building it was mainly filmed in. Have stayed there and our jaws slightly dropped when the trailer first cropped up in the cinema.

Actually missed the film when it came out but will watch it at some point just to keep saying… “we stayed there, we…..”

Just watching Stan & Ollie on BBC2. Pretty good.
A lot of the outside scenes were filmed at the Black Country Museum, local folk who had 40's costumes were asked to turn up to be used in some of the outdoor clips, me and my mates often dress in 40's/50's gear so we went along, we will filmed walking down the street by the Bottle and Glass pub but sadly never saw us in the final edit.

Watched Elvis, first half of the movie was so poor but enjoyed the second half. Tom Hanks was ridiculous but thought the lad playing Elvis was good, I'd give it a 6.1

"Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade" Film4 9pm tonight UK (half hour away)(Worth it for Connery alone)(!)

Re watched Event Horizon for the umpteenth time last night.

I still love it just as much, as the first time I saw it.

It’s a film thats crying out for a quality sequel, which would be very doable ( imo )

@Prevenger17

I don't know mate... They'd have to make one hell of a sequel to follow on from the original!

Sometimes they get it right... But then sometimes you end up with freakin' aliens in an Indian Jones movie!

The should have just left the original trilogy... It was amazing just like that.
