Think good films can still be made. Best films I have seen recently tend to be smaller scale affairs. The TV series is the place for the epics now (Dune being the exception)

Remember Towering Inferno and Earthquake coming out around the same time, thought Inferno was the better one. Can remember Earthquake being one of the first films to have the stereo sound in the cinema, everyone screaming in their seats

i haven't seen Earthquake, wonder if it holds up today.

Yeah a lot of it just doesn’t make sense. I think they had a very good idea but executed it poorly to say the least
