Tony Shaloub and Antonio Salieri aka F. Murray Abrahams...
I'll never forgot watching it at the drive-in with all my mates when I was younger.
Bunch of naughty little stoners! But it was awesome!
The next 1970's movie and re-make that needs comparison:

70's versions are always better.
No stress... What recent horrors did you think were good?
Here's some of the ones I enjoyed:
The first Grudge was awesome.
the ammie one is 3/10 pants...jap one recently arrived on dvd.
7/10...silly but fun.
Pyewacket
The Autopsy of Jane Doe
not heard of these...on the watchlist they go!
The Taking of Deborah Logan
9/10...superlative. one of the very best.
Hell Fest
The Forest
Drag Me To Hell
not heard of these either.
3/10...substandard and annoying. I might be getting this mixed up, i'm talking about the Emily Blunt
don't-make-a-sound movie. Seems there was a raft of these doing the rounds.
Ready or Not
Daniel Isnt Real
Coherence
holy hell, more to check out.
7/10...good tense flick considering the lack of...er...variety in the locations lol
moar to check!
4/10 forgettable fare, the sequel is even worse.
Here are my 9/10's horror:
The Taking of Deborah Logan (great use of tension, plus Oscar-worthy main actress).
REC 1 & 2 (best zombie films ever...set in Barcelona. Forget about 3 & 4).
Paranormal Activity (the only film where i genuinely felt a little scared...2 & 3 also worth a look...thereafter not so much).
Bram Stoker's Dracula (
high-end art...almost a 10 but dodgy-casting of Keanu Reeves).
Kontroll (excellent Hungarian movie from the 2000's...less a horror film, but quirky-dark & trippy).
Alien (obviously...Aliens is overrated, the rest are meh).
Pi (not really a horror, but plays like one of those early Lynch efforts).
Interview with a Vampire (i realise in this mandela-effected universe it's now called Interview with
the Vampire, but that just sounds wrong. Next you'll be telling me that sassy NY chickshow isn't called
Sex in the City).
Open Water (the most tense water film ever made, edging out even Jaws.
Jaws (this is still a 9, tho').
Terminator (proper sci-fi action-horror...still tense as hell. The gungho yet lighter T2, like Aliens, is a little overrated).
Gremlins (still massive fun! me and her indoors keep debating when our lad should be allowed to watch. I reckon 8 or 10, she's more like
no, 14 or 15! lol
Altered States (only horror-ish...amazing psychedelic flick).
The Omen & The Exorcist (the originals...dark as hell, fun back-to-back watch!)
As ever...the non-english films have to be watched in original language so you get the proper dramatisation of the original script & performances, and the fitting audio-mix. They're not dialogue-heavy so fine with subs.
