Last Film You Watched

Because it came out 11 years before I was born so I already knew the big reveal before I watched it and I can’t stand Luke Skywalker as a character before he whines his tits off.
Your overview of the modern trilogy must be a broad spectrum of dislike I suspect. (I know I found them a waste of time let down...)

I'm not a huge fan of any Star Wars film tbh. Like the idea of them more than the actual thing. Think Clone Wars (series) and Andor are the best Star Wars things they've done.
As a child of the 80s, I'd get a lot of slack for this, but I hear you. They are acceptable movies but nothing incredible except for the nostalgia - generally too campy for my taste, although Empire approached a pretty good film.

Rogue One the movie and Andor, the series, are much more my cup of tea. I thought they were both excellent

Oh yeh, forgot about Rogue One, loved that film

Anyone seen this run of Titanic at the cinema in 3d? I seen it today, its fantastic with the glasses on, some of the scenes in full 3d are quite spectacular but also some are a bit heavy, like your basically watching 1000+ people get killed.

Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania

Err at a push giving it a 7/10. It was a good into to Kang who was really cool but the rest of it was like a Star Wars movie and we all know how much I love those. I wasn't a massive fan of the first two Ant-Man films anyway but you have to see this as the intro to Phase 5 with Loki. A few too many cheesy lines, a few too many ridiculous plot holes, the usual.

I'll still always go see the MCU films but you can see why standalone things like Joker and The Batman really knock it out of the park these days.

Free Guy. OK film I suppose but always worth watching Jodie Comer. Thought she really suited short dark hair, but then she'd look good with a paper bag over her head.

Was thinking she'd been a bit quiet lately, then saw she won best actor at the Whatsonstage awards. Figures.

Plane

- A film that is both crap and good at the same time.

One thing that sticks out is Gerard Butler is "I am Scottish, neaps and fatties, get me a haggis, and those bloody English' at the beginning, then promptly speaks American for the rest of the film.

It's not good, it's not bad. It's Die Hard in the jungle, sort of.

Yeah ive seen this, it had enough good moments for me to justify leaving the house to see it, i liked Mike Colter, its ok but nothing amazing

Since we’re being candid. LOTR, John Wick, Harry Potter (I know it’s not in the list discussed earlier), Star Wars are all a bit crap. Don’t even start on the Marvel and DC pile of poo either.

As you say though - it’s all about opinions. Be boring if we all liked the same stuff.
