Last Film You Watched

Decision to Leave. Thought it was great. Pretty weird and pretty unbelievable but I really enjoyed the tone and it was shot brilliantly.

Not really a spoiler but to be safe. In most simple terms I thought it was a bit like a stylish Basic Instinct without the raunch.

Well, it's been a while coming, and it's been raised before (that 'lad bible' twaddle about guy richie) anywho, it's been years, like significant time since it's been aired for terrestrial, Film4 10:50pm tonight.... the quite outstanding....

You know what? Bob was a bloody good actor!

He never got his proper dues, IMHO.

Watched (again) Scent of A Woman….. Great film and Pacino is at his very best …. I watch this film at least 3 or 4 times a year.. one of my favourites

'I'm just getting warmed up!' My favourite Pacino film!

'Infinite' 2021 Mark Wahlberg. Spectacular bad. The only thing infinite about this is it's stupidity. Someone rehashed together some ideas from 'highlander', 'memento', 'rambo iii', and a few others* and it's just downright painful.

Zero action spectacular big budget stars out of ten, and that is a kindness. Hateful!

*And two lots of James Bond - Die another day and Moonraker.

The Brides of Dracula (1960)
Awesome movie from start to finish. Peter Cushing is just superb as Van Helsing, as always. Thought Miles Malleson was great in his small role as well.

And wow, those end credit visuals might just be the greatest I've ever seen. I don't think I've ever rewatched the end credits to a movie before, but these I rewinded and watched over probably 20 times. 9/10

Triangle of Sadness. Similar kill-the-rich vibes as the Menu but not quite as funny or enjoyable. Some good moments, but felt the writing was a bit on-the-nose and they could have maybe had a look at the subtlety dial once or twice. 5/10

Just watched ‘you people’ on Netflix, based purely off the cast and no idea what is was about. Meh tbh, a bit cringey with some of the lines, proper Hollywood ‘woke’ crap … easy watch though if you wanna pass a couple of hours by.
What was the name of that song in the movie was it in Paris ?

Dracula: Prince of Darkness (1966)
A really slow film. Christopher Lee don't utter a single word in the entire film, and quite frankly he's not in it enough. When he is on screen though, he steals the show. I also quite enjoyed Philip Latham and Andrew Keir's performances. Nice setting too, as always with Hammer. 5/10

Titanic in 3D with the gf for Valentine's last night. I actually like it. That Cal character is a proper kopite, so good to watch Jack repeatedly pull his pants down. Proper Everton story. Win a ticket to go on the biggest and best ship ever made, win some fit bird off a rich kopite, ship hits a berg and sinks, you freeze to death while the kopite goes on to have a succesful life. Everton that.

I really liked that one, Andrew Keir was an actor I really liked, you seen Devil Ship Pirates?
Great in Quatermass too
