Last Film You Watched

So which Bond theory do you subscribe to?

A) That each actor is the same person/character ie... James Bond, or

B) That each actor is a new agent being assigned to the code name 007 aka James Bond, with the previous actor/agent being KIA or retired?

C) They're all just different takes on a fictional character with no real continuity. Of course there was Lazenby making nods to 'The Other Guy' and pulling various bits out of his drawer from previous films and Moore's Bond making references to the murder of Mrs.Bond but by and large the idea of a continuous single timeline between actors has been completely abandoned with them just having shared past events.

The same goes for pretty much all the other characters who have featured alongside different Bonds. Some have even changed colour while one has grew new legs and changed colour.

There is an instance where 007 has been assigned to another character but not the name James Bond.

Just watched Dead Man's Shoes. Paddy Considine does that flick of a switch intensity thing very well doesn't he? His performance and the brother's story turn a slightly implausible revenge movie into something more than it's parts. Well worth a watch.

And Monkey Shines where a handsome young athlete does some naked yoga before an accident leaves him quadriplegic. Subsequently he mind-melds with an experimental serum addled helper monkey. Really rather good non-zombie George Romero psychological thriller with John Pankow and Stanley Tucci going toe to toe for the ultimate balding mans sleazy haircut award. Also a questionable animal welfare moment involving a mouse, inventive sex, urination and the worst nurse ever.

Having never watched a full Mission Impossible previsously, finally went to see Dead Reckoning Part the One last night. Aside from the usual Hollywood action film sillyness (antogonist loses track of hero during car chase, miraculously re-appears right on his tail 5 mins later etc etc), and a few misplaced imo silly/funny bits, it was really good. Hope they filmed back to back so we don't have to wait too long for the next one.

Highly recommend giving the previous one (MI: Fallout) a go mate, it's brilliant.
