Certainly up there, would like to see The Directors cut of Alien 3 as they reckon its a vast improvement on the original cutaliens is boss too but the original i thinks one of the best films ever made

Someone else had posted about this a few days ago. Very excited to find time to watch this! Looks great, at least from the trailer.View attachment 230473
Best horror film I‘ve seen in years :
Talk To Me.
A group of Australian teenagers, start messing around with a relic, that enables them to become briefly possessed by spirits of the undead.
Despite it being low budget, it’s incredibly effective, super spooky and creepy, rather than use in your face gore - although there is a fair bit and is really quite unsettling.
The first 40 mins, watches pretty much like a conventional teen horror, but then it goes into overdrive.
Screen Australia rarely seem to miss with the stuff they do.

It’s fantastic mate.
It’s s very intelligent variation of the “ ouija board “ horror films,
Don’t be put off by the first 40 mins, as that‘s laying the ground work for what’s to come.
I liken it to Sinister, for it’s use of suggestion, false scares and suspense, which is high praise.
Watched The Creator. Very poor.
Begged me mum to let me stay up and watch it when it first showed on beeb 1, 1980 maybe? Fell asleep before they'd even got in the derelict.Alien is on a bit later on BBC1. Looks like the licence has changed hands cos itv have held it for terrestrial for the last few years.
It's an improvement, but not a vast improvement.Certainly up there, would like to see The Directors cut of Alien 3 as they reckon its a vast improvement on the original cut
Great film. Really effective horror. A24 have got a great hit rate on low budget horrors.View attachment 230473
