Scare season is upon us, so to kick things off we finally got round to watching one of the only John C's I've not done yet, and it didn't disappoint.

The final entry in the apocalypse trilogy, it's a suitably twisted ode to Lovecraft with horrors of the mind and the corporeal, with gribbly cosmic entities, dashes of black humour, a synth driven soundtrack and Sam m'f'ing Neill at his his most m'f'ing rockness.

Watched on on film 4 the other day Black book, about a Jewish girl in Holland who gets involved with the underground and sleeps with s ss officer to get information.
Thought it was decent.

Asylum (1972, Amicus)
Good little anthology, probably the best one I've seen from this era if we consider the average quality of all the short stories. Cushings part in Tales from the Crypt is still my favorite anthology story, but the ones in Asylum still holds high quality all around. 7/10

Really enjoyable murder mystery/classic horror with my boy Vincent Price as the standout performer. 7/10
