Just watched “Pinball : The Man Who Saved The Game”.

Absolutely brilliant comedy docu-drama. I’ve got no particular interest in pinball but the history behind the main story arc and the parallel story of how Peter Sharpe got there was thoroughly enjoyable.

Great casting and acting too for an indie movie.
might try this need some comedy in my life right now

I can see Rita_Poon is aghast at my earlier post, i presume because i didn't fulfil the criteria of this thread and provide a synopsis of the storyline. I know how much regulation and procedure is loved down South.
The Documentary centres around "Rita" a young "Scouse" lady who against all the odds is battling to make herself intelligible to the rest of the "English" speaking world. Its a an emotional rollercoaster and you can't help but root for Rita as she tries to overcome the many difficulties she encounters on her journey. For those of who are "non-Scouse", don't let the subtitles put you off.

Is it not also a study in wasted talent? The innocence of youth versus the cynicism of the aged. 'Documentary', Michael Caine and Julie Walters?

The Killer was rubbish. Big waste of time.

The two killers get to the Domican Republic before Old Mate had got home and decided not to wait for him rather beat up his missus. How and why did he not realise or know the repercussions of missing, not have a back up plan for missing or even work out that the hooker was a better way to get to the target rather than sitting across from him with a sniper rifle for week. How and why, when the two killers didnt off Old Mate did the Laywer not think that he would inmediately want revenge and come for him. Why did someone in the International Killing Game not have any type of Security and be shocked when Old Mate just walzes in with a skip bin??? Just a complete mess of a film and I expect much better Mr. Fincher.

The Creator. Really enjoyed this. Looks great, cool effects and art design. Main kid is super cute and the rest of the cast are all really good - JD Washington, Watanabe, Wong and Janney especially. It could almost fit it as a Rogue One style entry to the SW universe.
Yeah it was decent, the little fella was the star of the show for sure.

I didn’t think it was rubbish, just a bit underwhelming like a lot of Netflix films.

Don’t be tempted by the cast of Hugh Jackman, Thandie Newton and Rebecca Ferguson, this is a mess.

Set in the near future, global warming has flooded most of the world.

People have been forced to retreat to the last remaining dry areas, where Hugh Jackman and Thandie Newton own a business, where clients pay to be hooked into a machine, that enables them
to relive happy memories from the past.

However it all goes horribly wrong, a bit like the film.

The film is just a dreadful mess and isn‘t worth two hours of your life.

New on Netflix
