Don’t be tempted by the cast of Hugh Jackman, Thandie Newton and Rebecca Ferguson, this is a mess.

Set in the near future, global warming has flooded most of the world.

People have been forced to retreat to the last remaining dry areas, where Hugh Jackman and Thandie Newton own a business, where clients pay to be hooked into a machine, that enables them
to relive happy memories from the past.

However it all goes horribly wrong, a bit like the film.

The film is just a dreadful mess and isn‘t worth two hours of your life.

New on Netflix
How can you make a crap film with such a good cast.

'waterworld' meets 'total recall' meets 'eXistenZ' meets 'Vanilla sky' ? Just off your review.

It must be the only black mark on all their careers.
Let me pry off the lid of the nic coppola swarfega...

Newton... rocknrolla, mi2, run fatboy run, 2012, the chronicles of riddiculous...
Jackman... australia, the fountain, chappie, swordfish, van helsing...
Ferguson... MIB international, the girl on the train, the greatest showman....

The highest heights require the lowest lows.

Anybody else feel let down by the highly regarded Oppenheimer? A mess of jumping forwards and backwards in time, when really the story would have been interesting enough with a linear approach.

Also the modern fad of actors whispering or mumbling their lines meant much of it wasn't worth the hassle of trying to understand every word. Lots of irrelevant footage about the personalities and not much at all about one of the most significant the scientific developments if the last century.

It's not that I'm suggesting personalities are irrelevant, but given the film industry's recent penchant for tampering with realities for the sake of inclusion or titillation, its hard to trust what is being portrayed of a real life character to add drama - and I don't like that. What was interesting, if true, is his poor treatment by an ungrateful and paranoid US state. Similar to Britain's unconscionable treatment of Turing after the same war. This so called "free world" consistently rewards the wrong people with cash and medals. Something about the network I guess.

The Marvels was better than expected. Not great but had fairly low expectations given how hit and miss the MCU has been since Endgame. The three leads did a good job though.

In other MCU news, Pedro Pascal apparently in the running to play Reed Richards in the Fantastic 4 film which I am definitely on board with as he can do no wrong in my eyes.

Marvels - it's not terrible but it's just completely pointless which is worse.

Marvel is dead as soon as it snapped.

Their phase 4 has been on par if not worse than with DC.

Deadpool 3 up next and they will just bring loads of X-Men in buck the trend and get as much money out of this dead horse.

Gave The Expendables 4 a go yesterday. What a CGI/Croma Key pain in the ass nightmare of a movie it is, spent most of my time hoping someone would shoot Megan Foxs' character in the head. I'm not sure you're supposed to want the bad guys to win... but I did. Can't wait for the next one to come out.

Going to give Mission Impossible - Dead Reckoning Pt1 a try later tonight.

Found it to be pretty good to be honest. The time thing has become Nolans trademark, so pretty much expected it.

Thought it was interesting that Nolan chose to highlight the 'young Senator from Massachusetts' playing such a key role in Straus' outcome.

I don’t go to the cinema very often these days too much crazy over the top violent action, I saw a good film yesterday on TV from the 1950’s ‘ Detective Story’ very good black/ white movie, plenty of action, good story, you could hear every word of the dialogue, no mumbling or whispering and a good cast of actors, well worth watching.
