Last Film You Watched

Not to bring the thread back down to reality from its Cage love-in (well-deserved to be sure), but I just watched "20 Days in Mariupol" and I have no words to describe how grim and sad it is. Had to pause it many times to collect myself. Available in the USA on "Frontline" (via the PBS channel on Roku).

Cracking film. Poses the question, would you take the pill if it meant there was a risk you'd destroy your brain further down the line? I would, just so I can beat my bird at the Chase. I beat her everyday anyway but I want her to suffer, I want to destroy her... grind her into the sofa in a pool of her own urine. The smugness when a question about the royals comes up is insufferable. Henry the 8th had the right idea. Legs of lamb and a fella to lob heads off by his side. Royals these days have got nothing about them, absolutely nothing. I'd have far more respect if they were medieval bloodthirsty rulers. That word medieval reminds me of the level in Crystal maze, Mumzy? What was that all about? I liked her cameo in Robin Hood Prince of Thieves. Brilliant film that. Can't believe some head case chopped that tree down.

Should have ended right there, nothing else needed explaining but instead it bred the following 2 faux-intellectual shizzlefests as a franchise.

I'm not opposed to the sequels, but I did start watching Reloaded again last night afterwards and the difference between the films is night and day.

The first is an excellent film, it has everything. The Wachowskis were probably lent on by the film company to make more and tried to turn the whole thing into something far cleverer than it ever needed to be.
