It’s a shame isn’t it, makes you wonder what the thought process was for making this. I don’t know if it’s true but the gossip is they rewrote a lot of stuff on set and director Todd Philips was a bit bemused why people loved their portrayal of the character so much. Weird.

To go from the original to this, something had to go wrong somewhere. It would be pretty sad if they went into this film with contempt for their audience.

Apparently it’s on track to be a big flop and they will be lucky to barely make profit.

Maybe phase 2 is getting someone like Andrew Lloyd Webber and adapting it into a broadway musical? Like Cats or Wicked?

Thinking big picture here... 🤔

It’s pretty telling they had no test screenings for it either.

What gets me is it’s clear they were hesitant to market it as the musical it is, so why green light the project as a musical in the first place ?

Wasted potential really. Some may disagree but I think if the original had been attached to Robert Pattersons Batman in some way ir would of made even more money

I’m actually still raging over how bad this was. It’s like they hired Statham to play the titular role in a parody of a Statham film. It’s shockingly not even listed as a comedy movie. Feel like the world is memeing me reading it had some decent reviews. Rolled my eyes so hard through the film I’m now legally blind. Just wish I was before I pressed play. I need a beer.

As much as I like the Statham-meister's films, he is prone to making a dud every now and again, but you make the same argument for most action movie stars.

Should have stuck with The Equalizer. I always thought it was one of the more 'realistic' action films.

I just fancied something new in the end. I love mindless action Statham films like Transporter or The Mechanic but this was so crap I needed a shower.
