Last Film You Watched

'Boss level' 2020. Frank Grillo stars. A certain aussie duck head is the lead baddie.

Initially occurred to me as 'Groundhog day' meets 'John Wick'. Some huge homages to certain films, T2, BttF that tom ruise one from a few years back. A few laughs. Not terrible. 6.5 very tasty brown biker jackets out of ten. Oh yeah, huge Matrix nod. Michelle Yeoh chronically underused considering she's telegrammed early doors.

Fluff.
Saw a bit of this last night as well. Channel info literally calls it "Groundhog day action movie". After the 1st few mins was going to turn it off, but left it on as I was only hanging laundry anyway. Actually picked up after that, and wasn't as bad as I first thought. Was the section where he just started working things out, how to get past each "level" to get to the "Boss Level". Might re-watch the whole thing at some point.

Also known as love and other impossible pursuits.or the other woman. natalie portman 2009.

Sad story, but nicely done, Portman carrying most of it.. i really enjoyed the film.

I don`t know what, but Portman is a really annoying actor, she reminds me a lot of Keira Knightley.

They`ve both somehow carved out reputations of being top quality actors, when really they`re usually just " okay ".

I still maintain, that Portman`s best performance was as the young girl in Leon ( imo )

Haha Coy... i hear you, KK yeah 100%.. portman,.i dunno, i thought she was excellent as the stripper in Closer... lets not talk about star wars, they were just a huge disappointment on every front. NP did a film called anywhere but here, i think, i thought she was great in that. I think she can be quite subtle.. but i get shes not for everyone... probs not helped by the massive man crush i have on her... which is unusual for me, i dont like film / music 'stars' usually!!!

Have you seen Beautiful Girls? She's excellent in that although again when she was much younger.

I try to avoid films that she`s in tbh, same with Keira Knightley.

I know it`s irrational, but they both annoy the hell out of me !

I'm with you on Knightley, although I've only seen Star Wars and Love Actually I think that she's in.

Beautiful Girls is a good film though and she's a very minor part.

Weren't they both in star wars 1? Knightley as a double for Portman's princess? And how are you coughing up annoying actors with the shadow of coppola hanging around?
Portman also played a similar troubled kid in 'Heat'.

Watched Clerks and it's sequels, Jay & Silent Bob (even the horrifically bad 'Reboot') and Dogma but for some reason have never got round to Mallrats or Chasing Amy.

Will have to rectify that and add Little Miss Sunshine to the list. That list is getting awfully long.

So conflicted right now.

Mallrats is a great shout. Feel like most of Kevin Smiths films fall into this category. Likewise the Coens and Tarantino. There's not so much a plot or story, just a bunch of stuff that happened to some people over a (usually short) period of time.

Chasing Amy is the best of the lot.
