Last Film You Watched

Argentinian film called 'un Cuento Chino' ('A Chinese tale' is the literal translation but it's an expression in Spanish)

Really good film. The great Ricardo Darin at his best.

Just rewatched The Red Riding Trilogy, 3 films that are linked, some great british actors in them, 9/10.

If you've not seen them then they are a must see, about corruption in the Yorkshire police force in the 70's and 80's.

Just watched The Girl Next Door. It's about two girls who have recently been orphaned and are sent to live with their aunt who begins to abuse and torture the oldest girl with the help of all the neighbourhood kids it's based on a true story apparently it was disturbing but a very good film I thought.

watched "Gone Girl" at the cinema last night, it was really good, more twists and turns that an 8ft snake and some great adult action. ;)

Its the sort of film that rarely gets made these days, because its not a remake, comic book, kids movie or a 12 rating. Having said that, it is based on a popular book, but often studio's cut out the more mature scenes, to get a 12 rating and make it available for more people to see at the cinema, which to me often leads to a "watered down" film.

Spent the weekend at a horror film festival.

A quick list of my top ten movies from the weekend:
1. Housebound
2. The Quiet Ones
3. The Texas Chain Saw Massacre
4. Radio Silence
5. The Gunfighter (short film)
6. Doc of the Dead
7. American Burger
8. Utburd
9. Among The Living
10. Starry Eyes

Edit: The short films that they showed before the full lengths, weren't all horror movies, obviously.

Watched Live, Die, Repeat last night. Not bad. I like Groundhog Day kind of scenarios and quite like Tom Cruise. A fit too flash , bang, wallop for me but a very interesting end. Enjoyable !
