Tried to watch this film again not long ago, after many years. Couldn't handle it. I saw it in the cinema and loved it, but it has dated badly and all that hackneyed 'oi oi' chat just feels jarring now. I know it was intended that way, but it just feels very hammy and unnatural. Can't knock the storyline, it's very well crafted, as is the visuals, it's just the acting that mars it for me.

Watched the amazing spiderman 2 last night.

I enjoyed it, feels more like a spiderman film. My only issue with it is that is seems to stray from the comic books far too much, how he goblin is formed, norman osbourne in the film, electro not being an epic battle etc

But they have made a superhero movie more than simply a spiderman film so its going in the right direction. What they need to do now is make a proper venom film and make it a two parter to drift from the suit to the villian without repeating that last movies problems.
