Last Film You Watched

Tried to watch this film again not long ago, after many years. Couldn't handle it. I saw it in the cinema and loved it, but it has dated badly and all that hackneyed 'oi oi' chat just feels jarring now. I know it was intended that way, but it just feels very hammy and unnatural. Can't knock the storyline, it's very well crafted, as is the visuals, it's just the acting that mars it for me.

It's one of those film i loved when I was younger, but don't dare go back to as my opinion may change. A bit like Natural Born Killers.

American Sniper 7/10, ok but I think they could have gone further with the stress disorder/battle fatigue side of it. On the whole a good flick
I thought if you compare it with enemy behind the lines eg a sniper film it was poor - watch able - I agree with your sentiments above on the battle fatigue thing - it a true story, and you are spot on as if you read the real biography of the main character a lot is missed out on that point - worth a watch not a classic imo! 5/10

'Bound' starring Charisma Carpenter (Buffy/Angel fans take note).

Terrible movie, except for Ms. Carpenter spending a fair portion in the buff.

Birdman. Strange and complicated. I'm glad I went but I hope there's a sequel. I want to know what happened next.

Now, the one I saw before that, Paddington, was simple, good fun and I loved it. Not sure the little kids would get it, though.
I watched about 20 mins of it last night and binned it off, can't see me ever giving it another go wtf???

American Sniper - thought it was ace, Bradley Cooper does a fanstastic job of trying to seperate war and homelife. Really enjoyeed it

Birdman - After 10 mins I wanted to bin it off, i watched it all and then wished I had binned it off. Total arthouse film, if you're in to that kind of stuff you'll love it, wasn't for me didn't find it funny one bit.

The Theory of Everything - Just great, basically a bio of Steven Hawking

The Immitation Game - One of the best films i've seen in a long time, can't praise it enough. Oscar is on the cards IMO

I thought it was a great movie, I was under the opinion that bradley cooper had met kyle on numerous occasions to discuss what was going on to keep it as real as possible.
