Just watched new mission impossible film. One scene has a list of dodgy bank accounts funding terror group and one is 'arteta foundation $18m' anyone else seen this, must be someone on the production team deliberate reference surely??

Apologies if already posted! Had a quick look but couldn't see it

Coherence, which is on Netflix UK. A kind of sci-fi thriller that takes a well-known thought experiment and runs with it quite well. It's interesting and well acted although we finished watching it less than an hour ago and have done nothing but pick it apart since.

Somewhat related, The One I Love, starring the Duplass brother that acts (or 'acts') and Elizabeth Moss from Top of the Lake/Mad Men/Scientology, is a more playful and interesting take on some of the same themes as Coherence. Both films are tagged 'mind-bending' by Netflix, if that helps.

i watched a proper... let's say.. artsy film lately.

Was called 'Kumiko the treasure hunter'

i'll quote wiki for the basic explanation

'' The story is based around the urban legend surrounding the death of Takako Konishi. It was reported in the media that she had died trying to find the treasure depicted in the 1996 film Fargo. ''

Thats what interested me in watching it, thought it would be good.

Now whilst the story is very good in theory, the film drags on for far too long for me, and near the end i just wanted it to end, didn't enjoy it a whole lot but i think people who are fans of that art house type film will certainly like it.

If you can hold your attention for a long time with just a lot of dialogue then give it a go.
