Last Film You Watched

Watched a new Japanese anime in the cinema, usually theyre pretty good movies if they make it into Asian mainstream cinemas but this was pointless and weird...only funny part was when a girl asks a guy if hes fine with her being a single mum and then jumps on him...title was something about Titans.

Hitman last night...wasnt too bad. Mindless nonsense as expected but theres a spoiler about a rival agent which i wont reveal which made the whole movie just impossible to enjoy.
 
Was on telly a couple of nights ago, can't remember the name but it was about some guy who kidnaps people and kills them live on the internet - the more viewers, the quicker the death.

Was a bit rubbish.
 

Watched 'The eternal zero' on friday night. About a couple of japanese kids who discover their granddad isn't their real granddad & set off to discover who their real granddad was & how he died in WWII. The 'zero' in the title should give you a clue.

Quite good, if a wee bit schmaltzy at times.

4 hachimakis out of 5.
 
Enemy

Didn't get it and nearly dozed off. Think it's something to do with a split personality and getting rid of demons. Jake Gyllenhaal played two characters really well and the French bird from Now You See Me got her chebs out a few times.

Meh.

Watched this again in preparation for going to part 2.

Some won't agree, but to me it's up there with the best horrors, suspenseful, creepy and disturbing, with a very dark subject matter and an unnerving sound track. The minimal use of CGI makes it all better imo.

Ethan Hawke superb as the lead, the English girl who plays his wife can't act, but a very scary film imo. Can't wait to see part 2.

Fairly sure I recall us waxing lyrical about it before and agreeing on every single point lol

Death of a Gentleman last night. Excellent documentary about the power brokers and the monetary shift in power within international cricket.

 
watched dracula-the untold story last night.

Decent film, enjoyable. Could have been a much bigger and better film, certainly scope for it within the plot but it was enjoyable and the end half hour was good (bar one thing)

But watch if you just want something to see without being too engrossed in it. Nothing like the crappy dracula films made before it
