Last Film You Watched

Mad Max 2 - The Road Warrior (or just The Road Warrior depending where you live) (1982...I think)

So bad it was almost unwatchable. I remember these being much better.

It all goes on how good Thunderdome is. And all I remember from that is Tina sodding Turner is in it.

2 Championship Belts out of 5

Watched it about 4 months ago....would have given it a solid 3/5

Just watched Straight Outta Compton, one of the best films I have seen in recnt years.

If accurate (whhich I assume it is as Cube and Dre were involved) the portayal of the type of person Eazy-E was not the perception I had of him, quite sad really, but is IMHO a greeat watch for anyone, and for anyone who took an intrest in NWA through to the demise of Deathrow it is a MUST WATCH.

Brilliant

24hours of total flight time, one way, to Madagascar...so 48 hours on a plane in the last month. So I watched a few relatively recent (i.e., last year's releases) movies. I don't go to the movies to see new releases as I always know I can catch up a year later when traveling.

Watched "Birdman." Loved it. Michael Keaton was excellent, and the whole film just clicked for me. I loved the Gabriel Garcia Marquez-like mix of surrealism and reality aspect of it.

Watched "Pride", in which every scene was hyper-cliche, but given that the whole thing was a true story, it was generally heart-warming (even if every scene was a caricature of a miner or a gay).

Watched "Whiplash." Good stuff, really liked the dialogue. Didn't have much of a plot, but was compelling nonetheless. Great soundtrack.

Started "Hungergames: Mocking Jay" or whatever. Wow...big disappointment. The first movie was great, and the second was also pretty strong, but this was a yawner...didn't finish it. zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

Watched "Life of Crime" Takes place in Detroit in 1978. Great acting and pretty funny story about two low-level criminals who plot to kidnap a real estate mogul's wife (played by Jennifer Anniston). Tim Robbins plays an excellent and execrable drunk. Good stuff and entertaining.

Watched "Horrible Bosses 2" If you liked the first one (which I did), this is more of the same. Sophomoric, stupid, and harmless fun. But I liked it nonetheless.

I also rewatched for the zillionth time most of Pulp Fiction. It's track record of awesomeness is the only recommendation that it needs.

Watched "Focus" which was pretty good, didn't hold my attention as much as I thought it would. But it was decent enough.

Whiplash and Birdman were standouts
