Dr No.... thought it was boss. Better than a couple of Craigs Bond films. The 2 birds in it were belters as well.
It's no thriller, probably more a investigative piece, yeah. They don't show ugly scenes, it's mostly the dialogue. I'd really recommend it mate.
Meh. It's ok. Good performances but I just didn't really enjoy the film that much. The Big Short.
Amazing. The plot is interesting, shocking and funny. The actors are superb, especially Carell, Bale and Gosling. Best film of the year for me. If you're slightly interested in the financial world, it's a must-watch.
10/10.

Truthfully, I honestly don't know. I watched it about 2 weeks ago, and I still feel like something is niggling me, preventing me from saying 'it's a good film'. There's minor aspects that I feel the film got wrong (in a production sense, not from a fact perspective), and whilst they went to great lengths to explain some bits (those celeb explanations) other bits were left completely ignored (e.g. who exactly were they selling off their positions to, towards the end, and why would they buy them?)Really? Why not?
As someone who works in the banking industry, perhaps I was scrutinizing it a bit too much, clouding my ability to just enjoy it as a film.
As has been said, Margin Call is better.
The Counselor (sic)...loved this movie. Live by the sword, and die by it...very egregiously.
Watched the porn version; knocked one out!....watched Concussion, a film about the impact of head injuries on American footballers. No wonder 'soccer' is growing so much. Enjoyed the film.

Modus vivendi my friend. I thought it was a fabulous, script driven film (excepting, as you say, the gratuitous windscreen scene)One of the worst films ever made. Windscreen bit made me physically ill.
