too scary.
does anyone know of some good horror movies who are not ruined by horrible and unrealistic decision-making by the characters?
They dont exist,I have watched hundreds as its my favourite genre but cant remember the last genuinely original one i watched
Yeah it wasnt too bad compared to most,I enjoyed the 1st Saw film as well but it seems like most decent ones are coming from Europe rather than Hollywood latelyThe best one that's been out in the recent past imo is - Sinister.
Slow and atmospheric, plus very disturbing without being over the top gory .

I was looking up new films due next year virtually all re-makes,it does seem like they are staying on safe ground, even the remakes they do such as let the right one in they just dont seem to catch the originality or edge of the originalWhich is due to Hollywood not being prepared to take risks with new stuff.
There hasn't been a decent scfi horror film out for yonks either for the same reason
The Witch

Fortunate enough to see the original before the remake was like chalk and cheeseSpot on and a great film to use an example with Let the Right One In.
Ps - if you haven't seen the uncut original, hunt it out !
It Follows from last year was good.
Watched Goodnight Mommy too recently, unnerving.
i'd agree with that, i enjoyed the book, but the film is a classic, top class sci fi, and feels so much 'larger' than the book, for want of a superior vocabulary on my part
I enjoyed it follows simply because it was different,is goodnight Mommy the plastic surgery one?
I have seen it, I might give the mommy one a try later onYeah it is, although when you said that I immediately thought of The Skin I Live In, recommend that if you haven't seen it.
An interesting fact about Paul Rudd is that he hasn't aged a day, in terms of his appearance, in 20 years.Plus Paul Rudd is ace.
