Thing we have to remember on this is being taken over now isnt as important as it would of been a few years ago. With all the money coming in and FFP it's not as big an issue as it was for Man City who got bought out at a time when you could buy your way to the top. Either way i still hope when we do get sold it isn't to these two, so if its off i wont worry about it, the future of Everton isn't going to be sorted over night with a with a buy out from these guys now that the financial field of play as changed.
In fairness, you still can to a certain extent.
If you buy 100% of a club then recapitalise by way of fresh share issues and spend that money on capital items like a stadium, it still works.
On EFC accounts, player registrations are capital items, but I'm not so certain about FFP terms for these.

With the greatest of respect, the takeover happening or not, is more important now than at any time in our history.

It will define our ability to compete in the future or not - the new TV deal will increase the gap between the have and have nots, not because of the revenues on offer, but because of the capital the revenues will attract.

Clubs in the position we are in with no investment capital will just not be able to compete with the well capitalised, revenue generating (not just TV but commercial and sponsorship revenues) - if we fail to attract investment capital now, we'll never compete financially at the top table - we'll be part of a small group of non-competing, but not likely to be relegated mid table teams.

In the big swingometer way of the world, on the balance of all known evidence, is the needle pointing in the 'on' or off' halves? Ta.

fourth official used to be semi sourced, with everton but isn't anymore. Think her / their source left the club and now they only get a tiny bit of information.

Have better information with lower league clubs though.

Yeah, yeah.

Tell me where else he would have made TEN TIMES his 'investment' in 17 years?

Its strange that at the time he was buying there was not huge queues around Goodison with investors just waiting to get their hands on these Golden Egg shares. In the last seventeen years we could easily have become a Leeds. Its strange so many people on this forum are not playing the shares in the city of London ,there's so many experts!
