Let's see what happens now with the BK out crew of their wish is granted..

I've wanted a change in administration at Everton for years, but not to people who have a reputation for paying the lowest wages in their other sports businesses. I want someone who is better than Kenwright, not somebody who is just as bad, or possibly even worse.

I don't think this will happen. The Padres new stadium was paid for with public money, something that isn't going to happen in Liverpool. So they would be looking at 200 million to buy the club, and close to another 200 million for a new stadium. That's 400 million in total. Meaning they would have to sell the club for more than 400 million to make a profit. Not gona happen.

If it did happen, there's no way that the circa 400 million is coming from their own pockets, they aren't even looking at buying the club themselves, and they are having to search the world for other investors to 'chip in' just to meet Kenwright's asking price.

Then there's the fact that the Padres had a reputation for paying the lowest wages in the league, and the fact that Moores tried to sell the Padres to someone who was using leveraged finance, but was prevented from doing so by the baseball league administration because the guy he was trying to sell to was considered too dodgy.
Thing is mate, over say 10 years, if they run us like a credible business then it's not hard to think that our incomings over that time could make us a valuable business to own.

remember currently we are run by a baord who sold everything bar the players to raise money, takes regular loans out, sold our merchindising rights, have not changed sponsor in like 10 years, made a huge cock up of having nike as shirt sponsors and best of all, failed to market the club in any way to benefit us.

If anything mate, it shouldn't be hard to turn us profitable and very profitable if we get somewhere on the pitch.

They've done that, too.

Right we just brought a football club, should we tell the fans or the club first? How about the players? Or even the media? Nah lets tell that guys mate
I dont believe it from that source either. But when/if it does happen people who are associates of theirs will know before the media and fans.

Which bit of they have a reputation for paying the lowest wages in their business / sport do you not understand?

Everton, as a business, needs capital investment, and without such investment there will be no great inroads in our commercial performance. Can these people bring in significant capital via debt, probably, but that isn't what we need, and it's no different to the massive loan Kenwright took out after the collapse of the NTL deal.

Probably just couldn't resist the temptation to try and pedestal himself as some sort of body of higher knowledge. An affliction that affects many during the transfer window.
Anyways, it certainly feels like things are about to change and no one is quite sure if it will be for better or worse.
Basically, I'm still fuming after betting 20 quid on Charlie Austin joining in the summer, due to dumb Twitter rumours. I know I'm not the only one...

Getting very nervous about this now. There is a pile of money to be made from owning a Premier League club with the extraordinary new TV deal. Europe would generate enough to make the rumoured purchase price look puny.
Just hope we can trust whoever the new owners are.

But the overall outcome in san deigo was that they were much better run and more importantly, cash rich compared to us now. Imagine a scenario where we are in the richest clubs list because we actually have some business sense rather than by default? Imagine failing to sign a yarmalenko and the money not vanishing? Imagine us actually having a sponsor that pays us a little bit more than Thailands finest (which again there has been no market push in Thailand to capitalise on this either bar billboards). Imagine a situation where the club can consolidate itself rather than live mouth to hand whilst pretending we belong alongside oil baron run clubs?

yes they may pay less, but then i can't imagine they will throw money at the team either and nor do i want them to. I want a business that is well run and financially benefiting from that rather than the usual 'where is the arteta/rooney/naismith/yarmalenko/ring fenced money bill?'
