Wouldn't the other smaller shareholders have to be informed of an offer to buy the club?

I've wanted a change in administration at Everton for years, but not to people who have a reputation for paying the lowest wages in their other sports businesses. I want someone who is better than Kenwright, not somebody who is just as bad, or possibly even worse.

Thing is though, they didn't particularly pay "the lowest wages in their other sports businesses". For a number of years around when Moores began sell off the club to other investors (around 2009-2011) they did, but for the rest of the time they tended to average middle of the table (98 they were around 10th of 30, '00 16th, with some dips like 03 when they dropped to 27th). Figures are generally available, of course there is probably context to both the ups and downs, not a baseball fan.

But the overall outcome in san deigo was that they were much better run and more importantly, cash rich compared to us now. Imagine a scenario where we are in the richest clubs list because we actually have some business sense rather than by default? Imagine failing to sign a yarmalenko and the money not vanishing? Imagine us actually having a sponsor that pays us a little bit more than Thailands finest (which again there has been no market push in Thailand to capitalise on this either bar billboards). Imagine a situation where the club can consolidate itself rather than live mouth to hand whilst pretending we belong alongside oil baron run clubs?
yes they may pay less, but then i can't imagine they will throw money at the team either and nor do i want them to. I want a business that is well run and financially benefiting from that rather than the usual 'where is the arteta/rooney/naismith/yarmalenko/ring fenced money bill?'
maybe so, but the current owners are almost as bad as you can get, so anyone who doesn't rip the club off for their own benefit will do some sort of better job.The Padres are sod all mate, the baseballing equivalent of Tranmere Rovers. They got their council to build a new stadium and that's about it. There was no massive glorious achievements, there was no massive investment, they had the worst wages in baseball under Moore's stewardship on numerous occasions.
There's absolutely nothing to suggest that they will realise the outcomes you discuss above. If you want those type of outcomes, then we will need an alternative consortium.

the value increase from 80 to 800 million though suggests the club was a lot more valuable from when they took over. Surely that must mean something in the grand scheme of things?

time will tell mate. The exact same thing could be said about the uplift in value during Kenwright's tenure. They do not splash the cash. They are, at best, Yank versions of Kenwright.
Sorry to ask, but everything i have read said they had some pretty good years under the Moores ownership in terms of on the field results etc....? Is that not true?
Am not suggesting that these are the right people at all - but am sure i have read they had some success under them.
They qualified for the play-offs once or twice I believe. Everton's 'achievements' under Kenwright eclipse these 'achievements'. We finished 4th, played in champions league qualifiers, reached cup finals under Kenwright. The Padres achievements are similar to Tranmere's achievements in the early 90's... qualifying for a few play-off competitions.
